This e-governance initiative allows citizens to apply for a wide range of government services, including certificates from the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

How to Apply for a Birth Certificate

You can apply for a birth certificate online through the MeeSeva portal. Here are the general steps:

1. Visit the MeeSeva Portal: Go to the official Telangana MeeSeva website.
2. Register as a New User: If you are a first-time user, register by providing your details and verifying your mobile number with an OTP.
3. Find the Service: Once logged in, navigate to the "CDMA" or "GHMC" department and select the "Birth Certificate" service.
4. Fill the Application Form: Enter the required details, such as the date and place of birth, parents' names, and hospital information. You can use the search function to find the registered birth details if they are already in the system.
5. Upload Documents: You will need to upload supporting documents, which may include a hospital birth proof, parents' Aadhaar cards, and a marriage certificate.
6. Make Payment: Pay the required fee online. You will receive an application number via SMS.
7. Download the Certificate: After the application is processed, you will receive an SMS notification and can download the e-certificate from the portal.

How to Apply for a Death Certificate

The process for a death certificate is similar to that of a birth certificate. The application must be made within 21 days of the event.

1. Navigate to the Service: On the MeeSeva portal, select the "Death Certificate" service under the CDMA or GHMC department.
2. Fill the Form and Upload Documents: Provide the details of the deceased, including their name, date of death, and place of death. You will need to upload a death proof issued by the hospital or a medical certificate.
3. Payment and Tracking: Pay the fee and receive an application number to track the status. The certificate can be downloaded once processed.
