The license is a mandatory legal requirement for all new businesses and is issued by the **Labour Department** of Uttarakhand. It serves as legal proof of business existence and is often a prerequisite for opening a bank account or applying for other registrations. The registration is a **one-time process** and does not require renewal.

Online Application Process

The entire application process is conducted online through the Labour Act Management System portal. Follow these steps to apply:

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official Labour Act Management System portal of the Government of Uttarakhand.
2. Select the Act: On the portal, select the "**Uttarakhand Dookan Aur Vanijya Adhishthan Adhiniyam, 1962**" from the list of acts.
3. Fill the Form: Click on "Registration" and fill out the online application form with all the required details, including the name of the establishment, address, nature of business, and owner's details. A unique application number will be generated.
4. Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copies of all necessary documents.
5. Make Payment: The system will calculate the registration fee. Make the payment online or through a treasury challan.
6. Submit: Submit the completed application. Upon approval, you can download the digitally signed certificate from the same portal.

• Aadhaar and PAN Card of the owner/proprietor.
• A photograph of the owner and the establishment.
