While a formal FIR for cognizable offenses must be filed in person at a police station, the Telangana Police Citizen Portal allows you to lodge a petition or grievance online. This digital petition serves as a preliminary complaint that the police will then investigate.

• Filing a Petition: You can register a grievance on the Telangana Police Citizen Portal. This includes details of the crime, your personal information, and any supporting documents. Once submitted, you receive a unique petition ID to track the status.

Lost Article Report

• CEIR Portal (for lost mobiles): The Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) is a central government initiative used by Telangana Police to block and track lost or stolen mobile phones. You can file a lost mobile report on this portal to prevent its misuse.
