- State-Sponsored Scholarships: The state government offers schemes like the Hon'ble Chief Minister's Merit Scholarship Scheme for deserving students from government schools.
- Post-Matric Scholarships: These are available for students from SC, ST, OBC, and Minority communities who are pursuing studies from Class 11 onwards, both within and outside the state.
- Pre-Matric Scholarships: These schemes are aimed at students from Class 9 to 10 from specific categories to help them continue their schooling.

Application Process for Scholarships
Applying for a scholarship in Sikkim is a straightforward process, primarily conducted online. Here are the general steps:
- Login with Sikkim SSO: Visit the official Sikkim government services portal and log in using your Sikkim Single Sign-On (SSO) ID. If you don't have one, you will need to register first.
- Choose the Scheme: Select the scholarship you are eligible for from the list of available schemes under the respective department (e.g., Education or Social Welfare).
- Fill and Upload: Carefully fill out the application form with all the required details and upload scanned copies of supporting documents such as your Certificate of Identification (COI), caste/income certificates, mark sheets, and Aadhaar card.
- Submit and Track: After submitting the application, a unique application ID will be generated. Use this ID to track the real-time status of your scholarship application.
