The **Punjab Aashirwad Scheme**, formerly known as the Shagun Scheme, is a flagship welfare program of the Government of Punjab. The scheme provides a crucial financial grant to eligible families:

• Financial Assistance: A one-time grant of **₹51,000** is provided for the marriage of a daughter.
• Eligibility: The girl must be a resident of Punjab, belong to one of the specified communities (SC, BC, Christian, or economically weaker sections), and be 18 years of age or older at the time of marriage.
• Income Limit: The annual family income from all sources must not exceed **₹32,790**.
• Coverage: The benefit can be availed for up to **two daughters** per family. The application must be submitted before or within 30 days of the marriage date.
