Step-by-Step Guide to Filing an e-FIR
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official Delhi Police website.
- Find e-FIR Section: On the homepage, look for the 'Citizen Services' or 'e-FIR' section and click on it.
- Register/Login: If you are a new user, you may need to register first. Log in with your credentials.
- Fill the Form: A new form will appear. Fill in all the details, including your personal information, a description of the stolen property, and the time and place of the incident.
- Submit and Receive: After submitting the form, you will receive an acknowledgement number and a copy of the e-FIR, which you can use for insurance claims or other purposes.
2. How to File a Lost Article Report
A Lost Article Report is different from an FIR. It is used for reporting lost documents or items that are not a result of a crime. This report is essential for getting duplicate copies of your lost items.
